Norfolk and Western Class J No. 611 will return to Roanoke under her own power on May 30th, 2015. She provided to face to Harry Cupper’s engine the Rainbow Tiger in Shining Time Station. The big 4-8-4 is one of the three surviving streamlines locomotives and will be the only one operating on the east coast. 611 is not the only steam engine that will be out and about as part of Norfolk Southern’s 21st century steam program.
